Indian River Lagoon ECO Tours


The PELICAN ISLAND ECO TOUR departs from historic Jungle Trail just outside the Pelican Island National Wildlife Refuge.  You will explore the nearby islands by paddle board or kayak to view local marine life that  may include manatee, tarpon, sea turtles, flounder, and stingray. More than  100 species of birds use the refuge as their resting/nesting area so you'll be sure to see plenty of migrating and local hanging out on the protected island.  Learn about the first  United States Wildlife Refuge established in 1903 along the way.  (2 hours, $60 per person + tax)

The MANGROVE  ECO TOUR launches from the dock behind the shop where your guide will lead you to the Indian River at a relaxing pace. From there it is a short paddle to the mangrove islands where you will glide between the mangroves to see the rivers natural inhabitants up close.  Along the way you are sure to see local marine life that includes snook, tarpon, dolphin, sea turtles, manatee and several species of aquatic birds.  Custom tours and departure times available.  (2 hours, $50 per person + tax)

The ROUND ISLAND ECO TOUR departs from The Round Island Riverside kayak launch.  Your guide will have the everything ready upon your arrival.  From there paddling the calm and tranquil waters of the park is the best way to spot manatee.  Dolphin and stingray also frequent these shallow waters.  Custom tours and departure times available.  (2 hours, $60 per person + tax)

Paddle + Breakfast

Step off the beaten path & kick-start your day on a kayak or paddle board with our Paddle + Breakfast Tour.  This morning tour launches from our shop & begins with a scenic paddle on the Indian River Lagoon.  At this hour we are commonly greeted by manatee, dolphin, sea turtle, stingrays, Snook & birds seeking their morning meal.  Next stop is a conveniently located across from our shop and a local favorite, La Tabla, where a fresh and healthy Power Breakfast awaits.   The package includes equipment, a 40 to 60 minute paddle & breakfast.

Important to Know

  • Reservation will be rescheduled if weather conditions pose a safety concern

  • Cancel reservations at least 48 hours in advance to receive a full refund

  • Safety Equipment included in tour price

  • Completed waiver is required (under 18 requires parent/guardian signed consent)

  • Participants must be comfortable and confident swimming in the water

  • Let us know if participants are 13 year or under

  • Call before booking large groups

  • Custom Trips & Private Charters are always welcome

Things to Bring

  • Water or other hydration (Very Important!)

  • Towel

  • Sunglasses with retainer like Chums or Croakies

  • Beach attire

  • Hat and sunscreen

  • Water shoes (optional)

  • Completed waiver (required)

  • Change of clothes for after the tour (optional)
